They hadn't been posting anything on their blog since July... are they brainstorming on their next Deluxe Game or are they just taking a lengthy break?

Knowing the creators, they're probably working on their next Deluxe game or the next Papa's Next Chefs.
Yeah! leave him alone.

Okay, well...I still have more details to the idea
I have this off putting/slightly ridiculous gameria idea, considering that there hasn’t been a Papa Louie gameria on candy (even though they did make a Freezeria, Cupcakeria, Donuteria, Bakeria and Scooperia, I don’t think they really count) so I thought, why not.
The game will be set in Downtown Tastyville and the game will have THREE chefs, not counting the costume worker (candy makings a big operation so it’ll take more than two people to run the place), those three being Austin, Tohru and Treble. The former two will be unlocked at later ranks, while the latter is available from the start of the game. Also, context wise, the Candy Mia functions more as a candy store rather than a restaurant.
The intro will more or less pick up where Cluckeria left off, with the Crumple Sisters having escaped from jail and Treble's showing worry about Papa Louie's safety upon seeing this on the news. Later Treble ends up stumbling upon a seemingly deserted store and begins playing on their phone when Treble notices something coming out behind the counter, it was a note from Papa Louie, revealing that he'd gone on another adventure to figure out where the Crumple Sisters escaped somewhere in Munchmore and he's been asked by Gigaloaf Labs (Well, okay Professor Fitz) to find them and send them back to prison. He also reveals that before the Crumple Sisters escaped jail, he was in the mist of preparing for his next project: Papa's Candy Mia. However, unlike the sixteen restaurants, Candy Mia is a candy store rather than a restaurant, but whoever gets the note is going to run the Candy Mia and Treble sees that there were three aprons laying on the counter and unlike most of Papa's Workers who react with dismay and exasperation when they get 'hired' by Papa Louie, Treble, who pretty much knows the bait-and-switch of Papa Louie and his customers, grins with determination in their eyes, ready to tackle the Candy Mia and make delicious candies, until they find the recipe book and sees that the Crumple Sisters had gotten to the Candy Mia first and snagged three of the pages and turned them into paper airplanes, leaving only one behind, that being the recipe for hard candy, that made Treble dismayed (and also a bit aggravated).
The game will also have extra cutscenes like Cluckeria, which are mostly scenes about the three missing of the recipes for the rest of the candies (excluding gum, because although gum IS a candy, it'll be a bit too tricky to make) that ended up getting teleported to different parts of the Papa Louie verse.
The first one will show Austin working a shift at the Toastwood Trading Post when a recipe paper airplane for chocolate and fudge flew through the window and onto Austin's head, causing it to land in front of him. Austin sees the note and picks it up, he then finds a little disclaimer on the bottom of the recipe saying, "If lost please return to Papa's Candy Mia! in Tastyville". After work, Austin heads to Tastyville via Rhonda, and delivers the missing chocolate recipe to Treble, who is swamped in hard candy ingredients. Austin examines how much stress Treble is in and after seeing a Candy Mia apron out in the open, Austin decides that Treble needs help and puts on the apron. This puts a lot of dismay on Rhonda, who wonders what will become of Austin's job at the Trading Post.
The second one will show Tohru (in her Style B outfit) doing one of her Let's Play videos in her room when her mother (Who looks like an older version of her) comes in with a recipe paper airplane for gummy candy, apparently Tohru's mom found it while she was out shopping and demands to Tohru that after her Let's Play video wraps up, she should go deliver it to the Candy Mia. After finishing her Let's Play video, Tohru heads to the Candy Mia to deliver the recipe paper airplane to Papa Louie only to find Treble and Austin there, upon seeing the number of customers in the front and knowing how overwhelming it'll get for someone like Austin, Tohru takes the last Candy Mia apron and goes to help Treble and Austin, putting purple sticks and candy hairclips in her hair to go with her apron. Needless to say, when Tohru's parents heard about this, they were happy their daughter was doing something other than her LP Videos.
The third one will basically have Nowtime News bringing an update on the whereabouts of the Crumple Sisters, as well as the last recipe paper airplane's whereabouts, the recipe in making Toffee, particularly the honeycomb toffee (Papa Louie wanted to get diverse with this recipe candy). However, the recipe paper airplane is actually longed in Duke Gotcha's hair as he's reporting the entire thing and Shannon noticed this and quietly got it out of Gotcha's hair and mailed it to the Candy Mia. With the final recipe paper airplane retrieved, Treble, Austin and Tohru then sees Yippy at the door, waving her hand, causing the former and the latter to become terrified that they're not getting a fourth help while Austin looks at them with a confused look on his face.
The fourth one is set late at night where we see a warp portal coming out of the sky and two winged silhouettes come out and starts attacking the Candy Mia and letting out such loud screeching that all of the Papa Verse can hear, awakening everyone. The next thing, Treble, Austin and Tohru saw were two ugly mugs faceplanted on the window, one of which had Yalanda's glasses. Treble examined the two ugly monsters more closely and realized...they're the Crumple Sisters in their true form, winged monsters armed with wooden spoons. They were about to grab Treble's psychedelic pajamas when the two transformed sisters got bombarded by beaker bombs supplied by Professor Fitz, at that moment Austin looked out the window to see Papa Louie and Professor Fitz taking the sisters down, so Hank can rearrest them. After the Crumple Sisters were taken down and getting their true forms broadcasted thanks to a (embarrassing) pajama wearing Duke Gotcha, Papa Louie examines the Candy Mia and sees how well made it is and asked who is responsible for this and everyone points to Austin, Tohru and Treble. Papa Louie approaches them and shakes their hands for keeping the Candy Mia afloat and managing to develop it well.
The fifth and last cutscene is unlocked after serving all the customers, it'll have Nowtime News reporting from the Pepperton Zoo with a new exhibit, which is actually the Monster formed Crumple Sisters with chains attached around their necks to avoid getting back out. In the background, an Onion (who was residing in Monster!Yalanda's hair the entire time) was shown in the exhibit witnessing the entire thing with confusion.
Considering were dealing with candy, there are actually four stations in the game. The Order Station, The Making Station, The Melting/Baking Station and The Decorating and Boxing Station.
The Order station is the same as every other game.
The Making station will basically select what Candy you'll be making, if it's hard candy it'll probably be heated sugar syrup that you'll have to dye with different flavors, if it's chocolate or fudge it'll come in three flavors milk chocolate, white chocolate and dark chocolate for the chocolate and whatever-flavors-of-fudge-there-are for the fudge, if it's Toffee, it'll be the seven flavors. But they all have the same thing, they'll be cut into shapes of the customers preferred choice.
The Melting/Baking Station is where the sweets get harden/cooked.
And the Decorating and Boxing Station, the decorating part is where you get to decorate the candy and the boxing part is where you get to decorate the box where you put the candy in before it gets boxed.
The rest of the details to the idea will be separate
It's gonna take a while for me to work out the plot
Chef, and the first playable character in the game.
Austin and Tohru come later
Care to hear about the plot of the game?
Papa's Candy Mia!
With Austin, Tohru and Treble as candy makers.
Candy, it's a piece of candy
No, it's for an idea for a Gameria that I think will never be made. Look carefully at the symbol.
The one on the right? That's Tohru in her Style B.
I was brainstorming very hard, and I had this very crazy/supposedly stupid idea for a gameria and I decided to draw it down.
The picture will most likely give you a hint on what the gameria idea is.
Knowing Matt and Tony, they'll probably find a way to simplify the game.
Don't you mean Rhonda and VICKY?
I know I'm kinda late on this, but after examining the rival restaurants in Cluckeria, I realized that they're all basically parodies of other restaurants.
Crumple Family Chicken is a parody of those roadside family centric restaurants.
NuCoop is a parody of McDonalds via the Salad Shakers parody in a cutscene
And Mortadello and his eateries are parodies of those cheap fast-food restaurants.
Does that sound right?
