I looked at the report posts section, and I noticed that hardly any of the reported posts hardly broke the rules or seemed toxic at all. The page below is shown only for staff members. I would like to remind everyone to please report any posts, messages, or comments only if they're clearly breaking the rules, not because you don't like or disagreed with that comment. Anyone abusing this feature from now on will be warned, and punished if caught doing it again.
What's on your mind?
I just revisited this wiki and noticed that the customer category glitch is back, as noted in this archived forum post and the notices on top of every customer's page.
A few years back, we ran into the exact same problem and found out the source of the issue which appears to be the SimpleNavbox template. Afterwards, Laundry Machine, our VSTF, was able to solve the issue of disappearing categories by closing the template with this edit.
It appears that right now, the template isn't completely closed and a "--->" should be added at the bottom of the page in the same place it was in Laundry Machine's edit. If any administrator or bureaucrat could do this, it may solve the disappearing category issue.
There's been problems with categories getting messed up, and this resulted in Rollie's page being temporarily protected because of it. I contacted Kirkburn about it, and he said that the problem is unknown, but that the VisualEditor triggers this problem. The only solution to this problem is when our wiki turns into a UCP platform later on, with the VisualEditor being updated in the UCP platform.
If you're editing on VisualEditor, and you notice categories messing up, then you have to use the Classic Editor to prevent categories from messing up. Classic Editor is located when you click on the arrow button near the edit button for anyone who doesn't know.
If you have questions about the Classic Editor, then ask us because the category problem won't get fixed until our wiki becomes a UCP platform.
Hi all, just wanted to let you know that my role as WM with Fandom is over 6th March. If there is anything I can do for this community beforehand, please reach out during this time.
Best of luck with the wiki and to its community in the future!
Hello everyone, I want to make a congratulatory post and announcement of the promotions of our newest administrators, JK55556 and Skyline97. They have both worked very hard to keep the wiki together while many of us can't be on. It was unanimously decided and it was very well deserved. (and overdue!)
I am proud to have worked with both of them on this site and on our wiki's official discord as well! I know they are both going to be great additions to the staff and leave your congratulatory messages here!
Everyone, this is an official announcement to please not add any info for Cheeseria To Go! such as categories for the ingredients and holidays, and putting info such as customers and holidays in the Cheeseria To Go page until the game officially releases. New holidays, customers, and features from sneak peeks can still be added though.
It's because it technically counts as speculation, as seen in this link.
Starting now, don't add categories or info for ingredients, customers, and holidays of gamerias until they're released.
A few of the staff members were having a little discussion about the trivia on the ingredient pages, and we've seem to come to a consensus on this.
You have likely seen the trivia on the ingredient pages that say, "____ is the only Closer to order this in Papa's ____." Well, we've decided that this trivia is unnecessary. Here's why.
The "customers who order this" section specifies all the customers and the closers who order the ingredient. For example:
So why do we need to repeat it again in the trivia? It's obvious that there's only one closer who orders it - we can see is right there in the list. There's no reason to state it again in the trivia.
Starting now, please do not add this trivia to the ingredient pages. Also, try not to actively seek out ingredient pages to remove this information. If you edit a page for a different reason and see that it has that trivia, please remove it. Don't edit the pages just to remove the trivia - this project should be a natural phase-out.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me!
Hello all, I'm back :)
After months of being in college and studying, I'm proud to be...in the summer session and semester of school 😅
I also celebrated my 7 year anniversary as an editor on Wikia overall a few days ago. Wow, I'm old 😂
Being honest for a second, it's been kind of tough for me to catch up on Flipline games lately...and now that Flash will be gone in 2020 (😕) It'll be a bit tough to figure out because I've never actually played or paid for any of the mobile gamerias before
Either way, I hope to catch up with you all soon. Hope to see everyone in the coming weeks. :)
Hello all, I'm The Embraced One or TEO, and I'm the Fandom Wiki Manager for this Wiki. I'm here to act as a liaison between you and Fandom Staff and help you and your community. If you ever have any questions or issues related to the Wiki, its features (editing, templates, layouts, etc.), or anything else, feel free to reach out to me on my message wall and I will be happy to help out!
To the Esteemed Members of this Wikia:
I would like to thank you all for the contributions made since Papa's Wingeria to Go! went live last week. You have all done an incredible job of updating not only the main game page, but creating new pages for specials, new ingredients, and new customers, as well as adding new customer tickets etc (you get the idea).
Again, please, don't feel you have to complete the game just for the sake of getting information on the wiki. Take breaks when you can, and remember, the real world comes first. Take care of your responsibilities in the real world first before diving back into this virtual one.
Keep up the good work. And thank you again for making our site one that is among the best in all of Fandom.
It's tomorrow!! Papa's Wingeria To Go is almost here and I want to make sure to edit safely and make sure all order tickets are up for the game as well as previous gameria like Scooperia & Pancakeria To Go, so Stay Fresh and keep it up!!!
Hey, I just got the 301,000th edit badge. I don't think it's a huge achievement but I wanna celebrate it anyways.
We're past 299,000 edits, now who wants to edit? Who wants to make it to 300,000 edits on this Fandom??? MAKE SOME NOISE!!!!
I guess that Tony Solary is going to try and have more of a social media prescence going into 2019. He is on both Facebook and Twitter.
Speaking of Twitter, he follows four accounts: his partner in crime Matt (who hasn't posted anything on Twitter since 2016), another game company owner, Flipline Studios, and
The Flipline Studios Wikia!!!
I sent Tony a tweet thanking him for following our account. See below:
Yes, they know we exist. Yes, they think we're doing a great job.
This is a testament to all of us who contribute to this wikia, past and present. All of our hard work has been paying off, and Tony has noticed. It all comes down to community, and credit goes to all of you for making this site a great place, and one of the best wikias on Fandom.
Let's keep up the good work going into 2019!!!
Happy New Year!!!
After the recent troll outbreak, I had suggested that we will need to add to our staff.
Daniel, Plaxton, and SVR have done an incredible job as admins on this site. But even they will admit that they can't always be here to monitor what happens. And the vandalism that happened a few weeks back show that we still need additional help.
To that end, after talking to both, and letting Angry Hearts in on what has been going on, starting today, I am promoting both I Am MonkeyBoy and RUNEPATRIARCH from content moderators to administrators.
Since being named moderators to the FSW, both have performed the duties above and beyond what was expected. Both showed good judgment in their roles, and have been quick to inform the admins about vandals that need to be dealt with. As with Daniel and Plaxton when they were first promoted to admins, I am giving both IAMB and RUNE the jobs on a 90-day trial basis (end date 03/29/2019). After a review, if they show that they are able to capably perform the responsibilities of administrator, the positions will become permanent.
I am not expecting either gentleman to figure out how to be good administrators on a wiki. Not right away. There is always a lot of learning to do, a lot of it "on the fly." There is no actual "rulebook" on how to be an good in this role. A lot of the things that both will learn will happen as things come up around here. I strongly believe that both IAMB and RUNE will make good additions to the staff of this site.
To fill the content moderator roles that both new admins will be leaving, and after to speaking to each of them, I am promoting the following four members to content moderators: Skyline97, JK55556, RedRubyTwilight, and SkinnyLedgend.
Content Moderators are special editors to the wikia and have some of the privileges of the admins, including rollback (being able to undo edits without having to do the extra steps) so the mods are able to clean up the mess left by trolls, sockpuppets, and vandals quickly. At this time, none will have the ability to block people from contributing to the site.
On behalf of AH, I would like to congratulate all six on their new roles on the Flipline Studios Wikia. Allow them the time to transition into their roles properly.
P.S. RUNE, IAMB, I need to know what colors you want for your names to appear on the site going forward. jba
In the past year or so, vandalism and spam have become increasingly common here. However, in the past few weeks, it's gotten really bad. Here in this thread, I'm going to explain how to deal with trolls when you see them on this wiki, or any other wiki, so problems can be dealt with efficiently and without much drama.
1. The first thing you need to do when you see a troll is to contact a staff member. Just provide a link to the troll's profile, and maybe a short explanation. That's it.
2. Then, start reverting the edits and renaming all of the pages that the troll made edits to. If the troll is still contributiing while you're reverting the edits, then just keep going. If you have to leave the site for one reason or another, then that's fine, as someone else will likely see the vandalism within the hour.
Don't feed the trolls. Don't message the trolls. Don't yell at the trolls. Don't say things about the troll on the message walls of other users. Just calmly revert the edits and message an admin. That's all you need to do. The admins will block the user and take care of the problem.
Since Papa's Pancakeria To Go has come out, for anyone who is helping to post order tickets for customers throughout the game and help with Scooperia/HD/To Go; we need to report to Laundry Machine to his Missing Order Tickets blog
To Everyone Who Entered KCP2018:
First, I wish you all the best of luck. I am sure you all worked hard on creating your characters, maybe even made up a backstory, sent them off whether through the KCP or PLP and are hoping for the best.
That said? Will one of your characters make the top 32?
There were 20,821 characters submitted for the competition. Even before they weed out the copycats, characters with names that make little to no sense, trademarked characters, and just obvious offensive characters, there is only a 1 in 651 chance that even one of your characters will make the top 32. In percentages, that is 0.15%.
Also, just because your character has a 5-star review, it doesn't mean it will make the field of 32. I haven't had a chance to find it, but Matt and Tony have said that a number of the characters they picked for the final 32 in the past (and remember, THEY make the final decisions, with fan voting a major influence) had 3-4 star ratings.
This is not being negative, and I'm sure I mentioned this the same time last year somewhere. Faithesque (RoseCupid)'s character Amy certainly beat the odds and now she's been immortalized. Will one of you be next? Maybe. WIll Faithesque win twice in a row? Possibly. That's being hopeful. Realistically, just wait and see.
For sure, if one or more people from the wiki's characters make it to the tournament, be sure we will promote the heck out of it. We've had contributors from the FSW make FC's who ultimately made it (Shaira was one I recall, Kiki Steven, the creator of Steven, joined after her character won, so that doesn't count). So it's not impossible.
All I care about is that if your character doesn't make it, do not start the complain/whine/scream/moan/groan fest that is inevitably going to happen. Do not be a poor sport. And especially do NOT complain if another contributor's character DOES reach the final 32. Be supportive.
I'm sure it's too late to mention this, but, we have had issues in the past regarding people adding links to their fan made customers and asking others to vote for them. In the past, we've allowed this, but in 2015, it was over-done, and we wound up adding Flipline's website on Fandom's block filter. Slow down on posting links. If you've already done it, fine, just don't over-do it.
One final thing. Thank you for not asking me to rate your customers. My son entered his three on the first day, so I am not taking sides and picking favorites.
Again, I wish you all the best of luck.
To The Esteemed Members of This Wikia:
It looks like the Scooperia games will be coming soon. We are in the middle of summer here in the northern hemisphere, and info on HD and To Go! games have been posted on the Internet.
Just like when both Papa's Hot Doggeria games went live last year, it is important to make sure that the information that we add is accurate especially because it is already been mentioned that there will be different holidays (at least between the Scooperia/HD and To Go Games!) That is going to mean different ingredients, and possible different other things like when customers are unlocked, when ingredients are unlocked, etc.
That said, the last thing we need to do is have the wrong information entered into the articles. I have no problems with people playing both games at the same time (I will be doing this for sure). But for the sake of getting the information correct, and because it worked very well last time, we will most likely need three separate teams of editors adding information tonthe pages. One group is to be responsible for adding info for Scooperia, a second group for adding info into the Scooperia HD page, and a third group for adding info into Scooperia To Go!
Now, and this is only a suggestion, but I would like that people not be burned out and feel that they have to add content just for the sake of getting it into the pages quickly. Have fun playing the games. That is more important. There is no hurry to get this info on to the Wikia.
If this sounds like a good idea to you, please let me know and mention in the comments which game you will commit to editing when the games go live. If you "sign up" for this, make sure you only add info for the game you are committed to. You can play all three games (like I will), and edit articles if you want. But when it comes to adding info, stick to one game.
Any questions, please feel free to contact me.
To the Esteemed Members of the Wikia:
Due to the events of the past two days, and the realization that the current "active" staff all reside in the western hemisphere, I have decided to add a second content moderator to this site.
Because he has experience as an admin on other sites, because he took an active role in helping reverse some of the vandalism, as well as reporting to me and the others on staff about the vandals, and after asking if he'd be interested in the position, I have promoted RUNEPATRIARCH, making him a Content Moderator.
Content Moderators are special editors to the wikia and have some of the privileges of the admins, including rollback (being able to undo edits without having to do the extra steps) so she is able to clean up the mess left by trolls, sockpuppets, and vandals quickly. She will, at this time, not have the ability to block people from contributing to the site.
So please welcome RUNEPATRIARCH to the staff of the Flipline Studios Wikia. Congratulations.
