The introduction of seasons in Papa's Cupcakeria opened up new elements to the franchise of restaurant time-management games, including:
- Holiday exclusive ingredients
- Customers now having a favorite holiday in the games (it usually varies from game to game for most of the customers)
- Customers appearing more often during certain holidays of the year
- Costumed Closers (and customers depending on the holiday)
- Customers now entering the store with holiday items
- Different start of day backgrounds
There are a total of 33 holidays celebrated so far throughout the games that have holidays.

- Two holidays (Thanksgiving, and Christmas) are presently celebrated in all games with holidays.
- The holiday changes whenever the rank number ends in a 1 or 6. Each in-game "month" lasts five ranks.
- Each in-game "year" lasts 60 ranks. The first "year" begins when the player reaches Rank 6.
- Every holiday usually has 4, 5, or 6 ingredients based on the amount of ingredients each Gameria had.
- After the apps updated in 2019, 15 holidays received updated logos.
- New Year is the only holiday to have its logo changed twice.
- Easter is celebrated in most cities, while the hometown of the Romano family, Portallini, celebrates the wedding of Olga and Edoardo Romano.
- Sakura Bay, Starlight City, and New Pepperton also don't celebrate Easter.
- Chilifest and Neptune's Feast have only been celebrated in Portallini.
- The Gondola 500 is celebrated as a local holiday in the city of Portallini in preparation of the Gondola 500 race that takes place on the last Saturday of September. [1]
- OnionFest, a local holiday celebrated in Frostfield, Oniontown, and Starlight City, is a week-long celebration that occurs during the second week of May. [2]
- Pirate Bash, another local holiday celebrated in Frostfield, Maple Mountain, Toastwood and San Fresco Wharf leads up to "National Talk Like a Pirate Day" on September 19. [3]
- Powder Point, Frostfield, Toastwood, Tacodale, Sakura Bay, Tastyville, Starlight City, Oilseed Springs, and Calypso Island celebrate the month-long festival of Maple Mornings. [4]
- Powder Point, Tacodale, Whiskview Mall, and Calypso Island celebrate Big Top Carnival in May; however, Frostfield and San Fresco Wharf celebrate it in August, Oniontown celebrates it in September, and Starlight City and Tastyville celebrate it in April.
- After a year-long delay to repair Powder Point's newest thrill ride, the theme park devotes the month of August to celebrate the return of the Sky Ninja roller coaster (Sky Ninja Returns).
- Toastwood, Frostfield, Sakura Bay, Maple Mountain, Tastyville, Oniontown, and New Pepperton celebrate Cinco de Mayo. On this day in 1862, the Mexican army overcame all odds and beat the French forces at the Battle of Puebla. This is not Mexico's Independence Day (that would be September 16), nor is it a national holiday (it is celebrated voluntarily). In the United States, Cinco de Mayo is a day to honor Mexican heritage and pride.
- Toastwood, Tacodale, Sakura Bay, and Calypso Island honor the city of Portallini with a holiday called Portallini Feast.
- Toastwood, Tacodale, Sakura Bay, Tastyville, Starlight City, and Oilseed Springs celebrate Starlight BBQ, which is the savory version of Starlight Jubilee.
- Frostfield and Sakura Bay celebrate Comet Con in September. However, Whiskview Mall and Tastyville celebrate this holiday in August, and Oilseed Springs celebrates this holiday in May.
- A new holiday for Papa's Cupcakeria HD was announced on October 13, 2015 called Cherry Blossom Festival. The National Cherry Blossom Festival is a spring celebration in Washington, D.C., commemorating the March 27, 1912, gift of Japanese cherry trees from Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo City to the city of Washington. Mayor Ozaki donated the trees in an effort to enhance the growing friendship between the United States and Japan and also celebrate the continued close relationship between the two nations. [5]
- Sugarplex Film Fest is celebrated in Frostfield (Papa's Cupcakeria HD), Maple Mountain (Papa's Pancakeria HD), and Whiskview Mall (Papa's Bakeria To Go!) in August; however, Tastyville (Papa's Hot Doggeria HD) and New Pepperton (Papa's Mocharia To Go!) celebrate it in September, and May in Powder Point (Papa's Donuteria To Go!).
- Whiskview Mall and Maple Mountain celebrate Grōōvstock in September, but Tastyville and New Pepperton celebrate this holiday in August.
- Sakura Bay, Tacodale, Tastyville, Maple Mountain, Starlight City, and Oilseed Springs celebrate BavariaFest, which is a German-inspired holiday.
- Sakura Bay, Tastyville, Starlight City, and Oilseed Springs celebrate Lucky Lucky Matsuri, an Asian cuisine holiday, making it the first holiday to replace St. Paddy's Day.
- Oniontown, Toastwood, and San Fresco Wharf celebrate Holi in March. Holi is a Hindu spring festival celebrated across most of India and Nepal. It starts during the first full moon day of the month of Phālguna in the Hindu calendar and ends the next evening. In the Gregorian calendar, the date varies.
- Starlight City, Portallini, and Powder Point celebrate Mardi Gras in February, making it the first holiday to replace Valentine's Day.
- Portallini celebrates Lunar New Year in Papa's Pastaria To Go!, making it the first holiday to replace New Year.
- Oilseed Springs celebrates Day of the Dead in Papa's Cluckeria To Go!, making it the first holiday to replace Halloween.
- Calypso Island celebrates Volcano Gala in Papa's Freezeria Deluxe, making it the first holiday to replace Summer Luau.
