The Cookie Scouts are a group of young calves who made their debut in Steak and Jake, They play an important in S&J, as the player must make sure none (Or not all) of them are defeated. They don't appear in Midnight March as they are replaced by Midnight Ghouls who need to be alive in order to win the level.
On a recent Q&A comment on the Steak & Jake Post-mortem blog post, it was confirmed that the idea of Yippy was based off the Cookie Scouts. [1]
