Axegrinders are enemies that appear in Jacksmith. They are goats that have fallen under the control of Dudley, who has turned them into monsters. During battle, they use melee attacks with their axes.
Axegrinders are first encountered in Alpine Ridge with the introduction of the stone-elemental variant, Petrahorn, which has its own Flipdeck. Other variants are encountered as the game progresses.

A Petrahorn is a form of Axegrinder that has been enchanted with elemental stone. These gargoyle-like goats can stand dormant for many years. Often mistaken as an old statue, a Petrahorn will simply wait until an intruder’s curiosity brings them within range of their sharp battle axe. Other Axegrinder varieties include Billyburn, Capricorn, Glacier Goat, Muttondraft, Ramwatt, Buckthorn, and Guillotee. All of these Axegrinders are under the complete control of the great wizard, Dudley.
