Weapons in Jacksmith are composed of individual weapon parts that are assembled together. Some components are common to multiple weapon types (e.g., grips are used in swords, bows, axes, maces and pikes), but the quantity and types of parts used vary among the different weapon types.
There is one weapon part for each type of component with no Elemental Bonus that the player has an infinite supply of. Other weapon parts have Elemental Bonuses but must be collected during battle or bought from Gander's shop. There are eight different parts used to craft weapons in Jacksmith. Each type of weapon requires a variety of different parts in order to be constructed.
Every weapon part has a code that consists of a hashtag/pound sign, two letters and a number. The first letter represents what type of weapon part it is.
The second letter in the code of a weapon part represents its Elemental Bonus. Weapon parts without Elemental Bonuses have a B as the second letter in their code and their codes end with the number 1 (e.g., the non-Elemental crest is #TB-1). Usually, P represents parts with a Power bonus, D represents parts with a Durability bonus, F represents parts with a Fire bonus, W represents parts with a Water bonus, I represents parts with an Ice bonus, R represents parts with a Stone bonus, A represents parts with a Wind bonus, L represents parts with a Lightning bonus, E represents parts with a Plant bonus, S represents parts with a Shadow bonus and X represents parts with a Luck Bonus.
Arrowheads are used to construct bows. All codes for arrowheads begin with #A.

Trivia[]
Part #SL-49, a pole with a luck boost, was presumed to be named incorrectly. In the game, the letter “L” represents lightning, while the letter “X” represents luck. Following the pattern, part #SL-49 should have been named #SX-49. After bringing this to Matt's attention, he confirmed that #SL-49 was likely a typo.
