The Flipline Studios Wiki is intended to be an informative site for all things related to Flipline Studios. Please read through all these policies for the benefit of yourself, the wiki, and the community within. These rules apply to editing content, behavior overall, and everything in between.

The staff members of the Flipline Studios Wiki are here to assist and keep all users as safe as possible while maintaining open and fair behavior. If you see something wrong, we are here to help you. You can find a list of us here.

Policies, Rules & Regulations

Please note that rule punishments may vary based on the severity of the issue and past violations done by the suspected user.

  • In accordance to COPPA and Fandom's Terms of Service, users under the age of 13 are not allowed to be editors on the wiki (16 in the EEA, not including the UK).
    • If a user is revealed to be underage, please calmly report it with evidence to an administrator.
  • All users, regardless of status, are required to show the utmost respect to others at all times and observe civil behavior. Slander, harassment, insults, threats, purposefully offend, or disrespect towards anyone or their opinions will NOT be tolerated at any time.
  • Respect the staff when they ask you to stop doing something harmful or disruptive.
    • They are not picking on you, you will have done something to provoke this reaction.

Please do not:

  • Insult, harass, or cyberbully other users. It is the right of any user to remove or request the removal of, any comment, blog, forum, or message wall post that is insulting or slanderous to them personally.
  • Use derogatory, racial, political, and religious slurs.
  • Swear or use profane language, even if shortened or self-censored by asteriks. Please be aware this wiki is visited predominantly by a young audience. Mature content, including jokes and/or references, is prohibited.
  • Spam or vandalize articles, user profiles, and the like.
  • Advertise for non-Flipline Studios related websites or websites/apps that obtain paid games for free.
  • Beg for and/or discuss manners of obtaining free versions of paid content, including Flipline's games.
  • Remove warning threads from staff members.
  • Report posts, comments, or messages that are clearly not breaking the rules.
  • Advertise your wiki here if it is meant to instigate any fights.
  • Impersonate or fabricate false information about other users.
  • Use multiple accounts on the wiki
  • Encourage any of the behaviors mentioned above.

Editing

  • Please do not use wiki bots or mass-edit tools without staff consent.
  • Badge farming, or making edits with the sole purpose of earning badges, is prohibited.
  • Any user is free to undo another user's edits. However, if asked, you must be able to provide a valid reason to why you undid the user's edit.
  • An edit war occurs when two or more users repeatedly undo each other's edits due to a disagreement on how an article should be written.
    • If an edit war arises, please refrain from continuing, even if you believe you are correct. Rather, contact the user on their message wall in an attempt to reach a consensus. You may also ask a staff member to intervene.
  • Article galleries are closely monitored and maintained regularly. If an image you add to an article is eventually removed and no explanation is provided, you may contact the user who removed your image for clarification.
  • Before making changes to a large group of articles in an effort to alter their style, formatting, or wording, please contact a staff member explaining your proposition. The articles have generally been maintained carefully over the years, and it is important that a discussion occurs before a major undertaking commences.
    • If the project as a whole (including all-subtasks within) is approved, impacts 25 or more articles, and consists of identical or near-identical changes, CreameoBot must process the request whenever possible, within reason. CreameoBot is a powerful tool that can be used to make repetitive changes to a large group of articles in a short period of time.

Blocks

A staff member is within their right as a trusted user of this wiki to block any users being harmful or disruptive to the community. In the event of a misunderstanding or misinterpretation, the user who received the block may appeal their block to an administrator, who will then discuss it with the other admins to see if it truly was a mistake.

To testify your block, proof must be shown that it was a misunderstanding. Preferably, a screenshot or other form of evidence should be provided, failure to do so will make your claim null and void, and may even get your account blocked or the ban extended for spreading false information.

  • If you are blocked or banned and want to appeal it, please contact an administrator on their wall on Community Central.
  • Please do NOT harass staff members by sending repeated follow-up messages or following them to other wikis they contribute to.
  • "Sockpuppeting," or using another account to circumvent a ban or block, is not permitted. If it becomes known that a user is sockpuppeting, their sockpuppet will be blocked, and the block on the original account will be extended. Users cannot create another account under any circumstance when they are blocked, whether they are sorry or not.

Fanon

  • Do not create articles for fan-made user content.
  • Fanon content is only permitted on user profiles, blogs, or Discussions. The content must be appropriate.
    • This is not a fanon wiki, please post all fanon or full-length stories on the fanon wikis listed on the homepage.
    • Self-made images and art may be posted under the 'Fan Art' gallery section of an article. You may not add other people's art to the articles under any circumstances.

User Profiles

  • Do not post personal information on your user profile.
  • Disrespect and/or slander of other users is not permitted on user profiles.
  • Only staff members may have the staff templates and staff category on their profiles.
  • Editing another user's profile is considered impolite and should not be done without their permission, even if it includes fixing spelling/grammar errors or similar formatting changes.
  • If a user page has content that is against the rules, notify an administrator.

Discussions/Comments

  • Please refrain from consistently replying to threads where the discussion has long ended (typically one month or greater since the last message).
  • If you are banned on the Flipline Forum or a similar community, do not comment to complain, discuss, or ask about yours or another user's ban. We are NOT involved with issues regarding the forum, and complaining here will not have any positive effect on your ban.
  • Do not falsely report discussions posts and comments that aren't against the rules.
  • Discussions posts should:
    • Have a clear title
    • Be categorized appropriately
    • Have meaningful content
  • Comments should:
    • Have some relation to the article under which it is posted
    • Be of a reasonable length
