Cutscenes
Off to Work (Introduction)
Marty takes out his cap, Flipper 5000 spatula, and his keys. He reads the calendar, which appears to have "Free Burger Day!" written on it. He drives to the Burgeria, picking up Rita on the way. Upon arriving at the Burgeria, they notice a large group of customers waiting at the door Rita then goes outside and gets into the car.
Marty parks his car and they walk inside. Rita turns on the open sign and the customers barge in; the duo proceeds to serve all of the customers. After a while, when Rita and Marty give Greg his order, a stranger, wearing a coat, gloves, a hat, and a pair of glasses, arrives. He orders 3 patties without any toppings or sauces.
After the stranger receives his order, he throws a warp coin into the tips jar. Suddenly, a light appears, which frightens Marty. A portal appears, terrifying the customers. The stranger takes off his coat to reveal that he was in fact Radley Madish, who, along with Sarge, set up a plan to kidnap the customers.
All of the customers are sucked into the portal. Marty and Rita try to hang on, but they lose their grip and are sucked in, along with their customers.

Obstacles
Balloons are floating platforms that the player can stand on. There are five types of balloons, and each one moves in a different pattern.
- BBQ Quicksand
BBQ Quicksand appears in levels 7-9. It can drown the player if they sit in it for too long. Players will need to jump as much as possible to get out (except for a few hidden rooms in levels 7 and 8, which can only be accessed by sinking deep enough for the player to get in through the hidden entrance). Baddies will immediately drown upon contact. The X-Zone has Flavor X Quicksand which works the same way as its saucy counterpart.
Cheese Cannons appear in levels 6, 9, and the X-Zone. They shoot cheese, in which the player is trapped if struck. The player has to jump three times to escape the cheese, though they must quickly move out of the cannon's reach before they are hit again.
Objectives
The game consists of four food-themed worlds, each of which are split into two levels (1 and 2 are lettuce themed, 3 and 4 are onion themed, 5 and 6 are cheese themed, and 7 and 8 are barbecue themed).
Level 9 is the final showdown against Radley Madish, while the X Zone is only accessible upon obtaining all 50 Warp Keys.

Trivia
- In the credits tab when pausing, Matt and Tony are running away similarly to Marty and Rita in the promotional pictures.
- Some of the alternate outfits are worn by the customers in games released after this game.
- These are usually due to Style Bs being introduced as part of the Stickers feature.
- The player will need a total of 5880 coins to buy all the outfits for all the customers.
- There is a total of 25 coins per level section with exceptions of the first few levels, and there are four sections in each level.
- 3 consecutive levels - level 3, 4, and 5 - require Ground Pounding for collecting the collectible items.
- For the playable characters that are workers in the Games, one of the outfits he or she can wear is his or her worker's uniforms.
- Error: In the character selection screen, Clover is said to debut in Papa Louie, when in fact she debuted in Papa's Pizzeria.
- The most common skill (other than having none) is Gliding, having 5 customers with this skill.
- Near the end of Level 4 where the player can rescue Foodini, there is an onion holding a balloon that is impossible to reach.
- There are some small enemies that can be defeated just by jumping on them or by stunning them only once by Boomer's weapon such as the Burger Slider and the Runt Tomato.
- The X Zone has random special items previously seen in other levels as a collectible for extra points (Fizzo cans, Papa coins, etc).
- In Level 6, there is a lone Cheese Wheel, which pays homage to the lone Cheese Wheel in World 3 that appeared in When Pizzas Attack.
- Papa Louie is the only character who can wield a different weapon when he is set to style C, he wears his Freezeria outfit and attacks with a beach umbrella instead of a pizza paddle.
- Ninjoy is the only character without any weapon, she only uses her karate moves.
- Boomer is the only character whose weapon (Roman Candle) first stuns and then kills the enemy (except for a few).
- Scooter is the only character that slides further than most customers.
- She is also the only character that can slide at flat surfaces. This can be done by double jumping and then holding down arrow key and right/left arrow key.
- There are 12 characters who did not appear in Papa's Burgeria that appear in this game.
- The burger Radley Madish orders in the intro is the same as James' order in Burgeria.
- If the player gets a 100% completion score, a gold star will appear next to the 100% on the player's save file.
- Based on Marty's calendar, it can be determined that Free Burger Day was held on Friday the 13th (as Pay Day was the following day and Papa Louie's workers get paid on Saturdays.)
- The cheese blocks seen throughout Mount Monterey are Cheddar Cheese, Marble Colby Cheese, Swiss Cheese, Monterey Jack Cheese, Blue Cheese and Pepperjack Cheese.
- Several warp keys can be obtained using characters that don't have the skill required for that warp key
- 2-3 (Akari) Can be done with Double Jump skill by jumping off of larks
- 3-2 (Kahuna) Can be done using any customer that has the Double Jump skill
- 3-5 Can be done using any customer that has the Double Jump skill, or with Big Pauly, since you can throw his bombs into a ceiling below the 10th burgerzilla in such a way that it would damage the burger
- 3-6 Can be done using any customer that has the Glide Skill
- 4-3 (Yippy) Can be done using Xandra, Ninjoy or first pushing a rock in the last room, then using Glide. Xandra's jump is higher than every other customer, and combined with the height gained from gliding, she can make it up to the platform that would normally require Double Jump. Ninjoy's jump is a bit higher than some customers, which enables her to jump onto the wall near the platform. With the help of Wall Jump, she can jump to the platform above.
- 4-5 Can be done using any customer that has the Pushing skill by pushing the rock under the burgers in room 2 and using it to clip into the ceiling, making it possible to hit them
- 5-2 (Kingsley) can be done using any customer that has the Glide Skill
- 5-3 (Connor) can be done using any customer that has the Glide Skill, theoretically Double Jump as well
- 6-2 (Greg) can be done using any customer by clipping through the slope above it using a tomato
- 6-5 is barely completable with most of the customers with a whip type weapon
- Any Burgerzilla Warp Key except 7-5 can be done using Scooter using the KAE glitch
- Pretty much any Double Jump warp key is possible to do with Xandra, since the combined height of her jump and glide is as high as a double jump
- As Boomer's damage count as "stun", she is the best option for Level 9 to defeat Radley Madish as she only needs to knock back one mustard rocket and then shoot Radley Madish multiple times to defeat him, where most other customers will have to knock back 3 mustard rockets before defeating him.
- Alternatively, Scooter is also the best option for Level 9: like Boomer, the player has to knock back one mustard rocket and then stun him. However, instead of attacking with a space bar, the player can double jump and slide by holding the down arrow key and right/left arrow key. This allows multiple hits when sliding, therefore finishing him.
- The BBQ sauce quicksand found in Level 7 and Level 8 is deadly to enemies, however, it would not hurt the customers and the customers would not drown in it as well. But keep in mind that you can lose by "falling out of" the BBQ sauce quicksand.
- In the Flipline Blog preview for the game that showcases challenges, the screenshot showing Level 3 in the main menu instead has a screenshot from a Papa Louie 1 level in the portal's preview. This assumingly was placed here to not spoil the identity of Level 3 for players.
- Customers with the Crawling skill will not cover when ducking. Rather, they will enter the same pose as when they crawl through tight spaces.
- The Ground Pound skill is the only skill which is needed to complete at least one mission in every level.
- The Gliding also fits this criteria but it has no mission for it in Level 4
- Obviously as there is one mission that any character can do in Level 9 and no missions in Level X these skills are not needed for any missions there.
- The Gliding also fits this criteria but it has no mission for it in Level 4
- This is the only Papa Louie platformer game to introduce no new characters.
