This week’s exhibit is a custom kart created for Fernanda called… The Malachite. The kart is a commanding longbill design that takes its name from Fernanda’s preferred gemstone. With her involvement in every step of the design process, Fernanda aimed to give it a distinctive look inspired by one of her favorite architectural styles: Mayan Revival. But don’t let the facade fool you—its faux-finished fiberglass exterior ensures the kart remains both light and fast on the track. [1]
