Upgrades are gameplay elements introduced in Papa's Burgeria, having appeared in all Gamerias since. They are objects purchased in the shop that assist the player in cooking dishes, providing help, feedback, or background changes that help them get a better score.

Doorbell[]
The doorbell is the cheapest upgrade found in the shop. When bought, it will act as a passive item that will signal the player when a customer arrives, no matter what station the player is currently in.
Alarms[]
Alarms are objects that can be used in stations where the dish is cooked/baked/fried/mixed. When placed on top of a timer, they will be set off once the cooking timer reaches a certain point, indicating that an action must occur with the item being cooked (chopping, flipping, stirring) or that the item is finished cooking.
Boosters[]
Like the alarms, boosters are used in stations where the food is being cooked. When held down, they will accelerate the cooking process, allowing the dish to be ready faster than usual.
Coupons[]
Coupons can be used in between workdays to invite a customer over on the next day. They can only be used once after each day and cannot be sent to Closers.
Special Signs[]
In case the player has unlocked a special recipe, they can place a sign outside of the restaurant, resulting in two customers ordering the special recipe instead of one. This feature can be turned on or off.
Other Upgrades[]
In addition to the upgrades listed above, other upgrades can be found in the shop. Some allow certain actions to be performed faster than usual, while other will always add the perfect amount of mixture into the dish.
